Buying a new home and or selling your existing property is the largest transaction most people make in a lifetime so it's important you feel confident in who you choose as your agent.
So what makes a good real estate agent? One who you can put your confidence in and spends more time listening to your needs and wants. One who looks after their clients interest above their own, in the "Real Estate Act" its called our fiduciary duty to our clients.
I used the term "client" and in real estate there is a big difference in a client versus customer, so it's up to the realtor to explain the different responsibilities between the two terms and what they could mean to you.
